In the first installment of our Compassionate Gift Giving series, we consider the importance of supporting businesses that practice compassion for animals!
Whether you are hosting a holiday party for 20, baking up some of your famous fudge, have the never-ending gift list that includes every member of your family, your pets, your neighbors, and neighbor’s pets, or simply taking the token dish to the holiday office party – it involves spending money!
You’ve heard the expression, “vote with your dollars”. Well the same is true in gift-giving! Many vegan businesses start off with the help of kick-starter campaigns. And most of them are built upon the tired backs, sweat, and tears of compassionate people just like you. Don’t let the support fade after the grand opening. And don’t take for granted that they will always be there.
Vegan brands/businesses need your support more than the big box retailers and the (non-vegan) chain restaurants. Every purchase signals to them (and to the market) your growing demand for more, More, MORE: plant-based products, locations, flavors, styles, etc. More vegan-everything, please!
