HOW DO I MAKE A PURCHASE?

Shopping with The Compassionate Closet is simple. 

If you already have a idea of what you're looking for, use our collection page links Women, Men or Accessories to discover our current styles. Once you have found an item, select your size and use the 'ADD TO CART' button underneath the item description.

Review the items in your shopping cart by selecting the 'CART' link at the top of the page. You can add products or use the 'REMOVE FROM BASKET' button to delete items from your cart. Click on 'PROCEED TO PURCHASE' to complete your order.

DO I NEED TO SET UP AN ACCOUNT TO PLACE AN ORDER?

    It's not at all required, you can definitely process your Compassionate Closet order as a "Guest" or you can sign up and you will be able to enjoy the following benefits through your Compassionate Closet MY ACCOUNT:

    • Track your orders and review past purchases
    • Request your return or exchange directly from your account
    • Be notified when new product items arrive
    • Save your address and card details for faster shopping
    • Manage your account details, order history and email preferences and see order status.

    HOW DO I KNOW YOUR PRODUCTS ARE REALLY 100% VEGAN ?

    The Compassionate Closet is committed to carrying only 100% original vegan and cruelty free goods consciously sourced from our exclusive designers and suppliers.

    HOW DO I KNOW IF AN ITEM IS IN STOCK?

    All items are in stock unless "Sold Out" is displayed. Please be aware that even if an item is in your shopping cart, it can still be purchased by another customer until you have completed your order.

    Sold out, but still want it? Let us know and we’ll do our best to get it for you. Due to seasonality and the handmade nature of some products, not every style can be replenished.

    IS IT SAFE TO USE MY CREDIT CARD ONLINE?

    Your personal online security is important to us. We use Shopify Payments, managed by the popular banking system STRIPE, a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details, to store and safely transmit your personal and credit card information through our Compassionate Closet systems. All orders are processed securely, 100% of the time. Additionally, for your safety and protection, we will confirm that the billing address you provide matches the address on file with your credit card company. We have installed a personalized Fraud Alert program that protects you from any online theft. 

    The Compassionate Closet accepts all Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit card payments. We happily honor all payments processed through PayPal too for added purchasing options.

    If you would prefer to place your order by telephone, simply call our Compassionate Closet Customer Service team Monday through Friday.

    WHICH COUNTRIES DOES COMPASSIONATE CLOSET SHIP TO?

      The Compassionate Closet ships internationally wherever USPS and UPS delivers; you will have the option at checkout to choose international first class or priority shipping at checkout.

      DOES YOUR STORE SHIP TO PO BOXES?

      At this time The Compassionate Closet does not ship to PO boxes without a recognized street address associated with the PO Box digits.

      FORWARDING ADDRESSES?

      The Compassionate Closet does not deliver to forwarding addresses.

      HOW MUCH IN TAXES AND DUTIES WILL I HAVE TO PAY?

        Prices displayed on The Compassionate Closet website are exclusive of taxes. When you proceed to purchase your order, sales tax and shipping charges will be calculated and displayed on your Order Summary page.

        If you are shipping within the USA, sales tax will only be charged on orders shipped within the state of Colorado. No other tax or import duty will be applied to orders shipped within the USA outside of CO. (Please note that all non-customs related local taxes are the customer's responsibility. Compassionate Closet is not responsible for reporting or paying additional local taxes to states, such as Use Tax.) 

        When ordering from CompassionateCloset.com, you're responsible for assuring the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country.

        The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; Compassionate Closet has no control over these charges, nor can Compassionate Closet predict what they may be.

        Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

        HOW SOON CAN I GET MY ORDER AND HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

          CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

            Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email confirmation of your shipping details and a tracking number. If you have registered on our JOIN page, you will be able to view and track the status of your shipment by signing in and selecting 'My Account' followed by 'Order Status'.

            HOW DO I RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN ITEM?

              WILL I BE REFUNDED THE FULL VALUE OF MY ORDER?

                When approved, any returned products with all packaging, original tags intact, and in re-sellable condition, will be refunded to the original payment method or given a Compassionate Closet online store credit, and will exclude shipping costs. If your order has been sent to a destination within the state of Colorado, all sales taxes will be refunded.

                Outside the United States, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs office in your country directly. 

                Please note that it can take up to 14 days for your refund to appear in your account.

                DOES THE COMPASSIONATE CLOSET EVER HAVE SALES?

                Absolutely. The Compassionate Closet holds an end-of-summer sale and a pre-holiday sale as well as an end-of-year sale. We notify our customers via email announcements as well as updates on all our social media outlets. In addition, The Compassionate Closet will at times "mark down' certain items and offer them at a reduced price. Watch for updates on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

                IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION KEPT PRIVATE?
